Wallace has several decades of experience as a project manager, landscape contractor, and a general contractor doing highly technical renovations involving seismic retrofits, house lifts, and foundation replacements.  He is also experienced at new builds with a focus on high energy efficient houses, including Net Zero.

 

Hailing from Vancouver, where building science and code requirements are decades ahead of the rest of Canada, Wallace has a skill set unique in Alberta.  Construction in a rainforest presented its own unique challenges.  Exterior wood structures like stairs, decks, fences and arbours rotted within a decade even when made with pressure treated wood or cedar.  Wallace developed methods to prevent wood structures from trapping moisture, so they last a lifetime with minimal maintenance,

Wallace also studied fine arts and film making, thus bringing a highly developed aesthetic and degree of craftsmanship that is difficult to find in the trades these days.

Terri Diane draws from a wide variety of disciplines to inform her gardening and landscape work.   In addition to  her horticultural education and experience as a gardener/garden designer, Terri has used a wide range of skill sets including design, sculpting, painting and fabrication in multiple mediums to work professionally in theatre and film as a set decorator, props builder and special effects builder.  Terri also spent many years as a professional artist making masks, sculpture and jewellery.
